Lekplatsen Båtsmanstorpet

Surrounding area: Lekplatsen Båtsmanstorpet is located in the Lillsjönäs neighborhood of Bromma, east of Stockholm. There are shops and restaurants around the Brommaplan subway station.

Age groups: The playground is most appropriate for preschool and middle school children.

Features: Lekplatsen Båtsmanstorpet has a multi-tier wading pool as well as other features:
  • Large orange climbing rocks
  • A standing see-saw
  • A pedal bike carousel
  • Pull up bars
  • A sand pit/ toddler area with play table, small slide, a small turtle to climb on and speaking tubes
  • A large boat themed climbing structure
  • Fish themed spring riders
  • A trampoline
  • A swing set with four tire swings and two bucket swings
  • A sports area
Accessibility: This playground was specifically designed with the visually impaired in mind. There are texture markers on the ground throughout the playground and the use of white concrete is intended to help with visibility. Safety: The playground is not fenced in but the sand pit / toddler area is entirely fenced in. The water in the wading pool is quite shallow. Visibility is good across the playground as it is quite open.

Shade: There are some small trees around the edges of the playground but it is mostly open and exposed to the sun.

Seating: There are benches and chairs around the playground.

Picnic area: There are picnic tables in an area near a public grill and nice lawns to lay a blanket.

Restroom and changing table: There is no restroom in this playground.

Strollers and bikes: There are residential bike racks near the edge of the playground and space to bring and park a stroller.
