Surrounding area: Junotäppan is in the heart of Stockholm's oldest neighborhood, Gamla Stan. It is located behind Sankt Gertrud church, a prominent landmark on the island. It is also close to some of the most prominent tourist walking streets in the city with a very large variety of shops and restaurants.

Age groups: The playground is most appropriate for preschool and middle school age children.

Features: The playground is split into three main areas. The area closest to the Sankt Gertrud church contains structures for pretend play, including a tractor and many blue play houses. There is also an area with a larger play structure and swings. There is also a sports field and a basketball court.
The playground features include:
  • In the pretend play area:
  • Animal statues
  • A water basin for water play
  • A tractor in a sand pit
  • Two short climbing walls
  • A play wagon
  • Old milk tins
  • A play house structure with a slide
  • Two spring riders
  • A roundabout
  • In the area with the largest structure:
  • A swing set with a regular swing, and a tire swing
  • A large play structure with a slide
  • Two spinning structures
  • Monkey bars
  • In the sport area:
  • A basketball court
  • A ping-pong table
  • A sports field
Accessibility: The different sections in the park are divided by stairs and there is no accessible equipment.

Safety: The structures in the playground are built on soft ground. The park is surrounded by a fence and a large wall but it is not entirely enclosed. Visibility is low because the park is narrow and divided by raised areas.

Shade: The playground is well shaded in the summer from trees and because it is next to a couple of large buildings. There is also some covered seating in the smaller children's area.

Seating: There are many benches and structures for sitting in the playground.

Picnic area: In the area for small children there is a public grill, some chairs, and some picnic tables.

Restroom and changing table: There are no restrooms in this park. Within a two minute walk from the playground there are public restrooms on Österlånggatan street.

Strollers and bikes: It is not very easy to navigate a stroller through this park because there are stairs. There are no bike racks.
