Surrounding area: Luxparken is located on the eastern side of Lilla Essingen in Stockholm. The park runs right along the water. There are some shops and restaurants along Essinge Brogata.

Age groups: The playground is most appropriate for preschool and middle school children.

Features: The playground has two areas connected by a path and a there is a separate swing set just down another path in the park. Some of the structures in this playground are quite old but the hand carved wood makes them timeless.
The playground features include:
  • A large sand pit
  • Two spring riders
  • A spring boat
  • A climbing structure with a slide
  • A see-saw
  • A wooden spinning structure
  • Pull-up bars
  • A large climbing structure with a bridge, slide, play house, and pretend bus
  • Two large balance beams in the shape of crocodiles
  • A large swing set with a basket swing, two bucket swings, and a tire swing
  • A sports field with two goals
Accessibility: The playground has a basket swing but does not have other accessible equipment.

Safety: The playground is fully fenced in with the exception of the swing set.

Shade: The playground is very well shaded.

Seating: There are benches in the playground.

Picnic area: There are picnic tables and a grill near the see-saw and also next to the swing set.

Restroom and changing table: There is a dock area just on the other side of a small lagoon in the park where there is an automatic toilet and changing table.

Strollers and bikes: There is no specific area to leave a stroller but there is space to move or park it. There are no bike racks near the playground.
