Surrounding area: Rävskogen is located at the top of the mountain in Årstabergsparken. The area is heavily wooded and there are many stairs and ramps. There are no conveniently located shops or restaurants next to the play ground but you can find some within a 10 minute walk.

Age groups: The playground is most appropriate for preschool and middle school children.

The primary feature is a lookout tower that has view over the water toward Södermalm. There are also swings and sand play.
The playground features include:
  • A large lookout tower
  • Two sand pits, one is shaded by an overhang
  • Climbing tubes
  • A small slide
  • A large tube slide built into the hill
  • Cone shaped play houses in the woods
  • Two basket swing
  • Bird houses and insect hotels
  • A small fox statue
    Accessibility: The playground has basket swings but does not have other accessible equipment.

    Safety: The area with the fox statue is partially fenced and has great visibility. The area near the lookout tower is not fenced in and visibility is poor because of varying elevations.

    Shade: The playground is very well shaded because it is in a wooded area. There is also a large green overhang covering a sand pit and some seating.

    Seating: There are many benches through the playground, all painted green.

    Picnic area: There is a large covered area with picnic tables. Additionally, there are some flat wooden decks built near the lookout tower if you choose to have a picnic at the top of the hill.

    Restroom and changing table: There are no restrooms or changing tables in this playground.

    Strollers and bikes: There are no bike racks in this section of the playground. There are no specific areas to lock a stroller, but the playground has a lot of open space to park them.
