Surrounding area: Storsjöparken is located in Ärsta, south of Stockholm. There are shops and restaurants around the Årstafältet tramway station.

Age groups: The playground is most appropriate for middle school and junior high school children.

Features: This playground was designed with older children in mind, built by the suggestion of local residents, it came from a collaboration with fifth garders and the city of Stockholm.
Features include:
  • Large curved mirrors
  • Trampolines in a circular pattern
  • A small bouldering wall
  • A covered platform/stage
  • A small sports court with painted lines and numbers for various kinds of ball play
  • Four ball target hoops for throwing or kicking balls through
  • Three hamocks
  • A metal and rope climbing structure
Accessibility: This playground does not have accessible equipment.

Safety: The playground is not fenced in. There is soft ground under the climbing elements.

Shade: There are nearby trees and a covered area.

Seating: There are various pedestals that can be used for sitting and some benches.

Picnic area: There is a nice lawn next to the climbing structure.

Restroom and changing table: There are no restrooms at this playground.

Strollers and bikes: There are no bike racks but there are some near the station. There is space to bring and park a stroller.
