Toys and Collections Museum

The Toys and Collections Museum is a large room with extensive personal collections. The museum shows a variety of unique toys and games that have been cared for and restored through generations.

COVID-19: The museum is only open on Wednesdays. You can read more information about adaptations on their website.
Surrounding area: The museum is located in Saltsjöbaden, south east of Stockholm. It is inside a pier building with a youth center, restaurant, and boat club.
Age groups: The museum is most appropriate for children from 3 years old.
Exhibits: The museum has a few distinct areas:
  • An area for cars and vehicles
  • A wind up toy area
  • A LEGO exhibition put on by a local LEGO group (Swebricks)
  • A tin soldier area
  • A model train area which is also managed by a local club
  • An are for dolls and doll houses
  • A display just for PEZ dispensers
  • A Star Wars and action figures display
  • A Barbie display
  • A models display

Pricing and memberships:
Private events & parties: The museum offers tours of at least 15 people to be booked in advance.

Accessibility: The museum is one level with no stairs from the parking lot.
Restaurant & picnic area: There is a nearby restaurant but no picnic area at this museum.

Toilet & changing table: There is a no restroom at the museum but restrooms can be found at the restaurant located in the same building.

Strollers & storage: There is no place for a stroller or storage inside the museum.
