Vitabergsparkens Lekplats

Surrounding area: Vitabergsparkens Lekplats is located in the Katarina-Sofia neighborhood on Södermalm south of Stockholm center. There are some shops and restaurants on the way to the playground from the Skanstull subway station.

Age groups: The playground is most appropriate for preschool children.

Features: The playground has a focus on the view of the city and has some basic features:
  • A swing set with two bucket swings, two tire swings, and a basket swing
  • A wooden balance structure in the ground
  • Three spring riders
  • A wavy slide
  • Various wooden posts with foot notches for climbing
  • A wooden balance bridge
  • Four spring platforms
  • A sand pit with tables
Accessibility: The playground has a basket swing but does not have other accessible equipment.

Safety: The playground is very open and visibility is good. The playground is not fenced in. There is exposed rock on top of the hill and can be slippery when wet.

Shade: The playground is well shaded near the trees and open near the rocks.

Seating: There are benches and tables in the playground.

Picnic area: There are some picnic tables in the playground as well as a large rock formation to lay a blanked on in the sun.

Restroom and changing table: There is a public toilet on Stora Mejtens Gränd.

Strollers and bikes: There are no bike racks near the playground but space to bring and park a stroller.
